NASHA take on their own Fundraising event at Alexandra Park, to help the people of NEPAL shattered by the recent earthquakes in April and May 2015. The band adopts the INDO KIWI theme, brining together the communities once again via music and dance. The Nepali community of Auckland also joined the band in efforts to raise much needed funds for their rebuild process being conducted by Sir Edmund Hillary's Legacy - THE HIMALAYAN TRUST. The band wishes to thank Wojcik & Wilgermein who contributed to support the initial idea and saw it through to fruition. Numerous people got involved to help in any way they could and we would like to thank the following: Asha Patel, Maree Gray, Bijaya Regmi, Ricky Singh and Trish Dickinson for their efforts. Melanie Kerr was a gracious and charming host and did it with much aplomb, being a presenter on TVNZ's "THE GOOD MORNING SHOW." William Pike, Mountaineer, Explorer and Author supported the effort with an inspirational speech on overcoming adversity. Dance teams offered their support with performances and donors came forward with items for Auction and small donations to help the cause. The event was a success raising funds in excess of NZ$ 10,000.
