About Ajit
(Dhol & Dholak)
'Listen with your ears and absorb it into your heart'. Ajit hails from New Delhi (India) with an MBA from Delhi University but plays music as a hobby. He has a natural talent for the instrument and plays a variety of Indian percussion like the Dhol, Dholak and Tabla drums. Ajit has had no formal training....but the music lives within him and has been blessed with a gift to simply listen to rhythmic structures and then incorporate this into his playing. Ajit has performed with a lot of the local music ensembles around New Zealand and for many Music and Art festivals. He also has his own team of Bhangra dancers called Anakh Punjab Di.
Ajit loves the good spirits and vibes that the members of Nasha share and the FUN of playing Bollywood and other Punjabi Hit songs with the band!
