A pretty last minute request for NASHA to perform for this event and a unique one at that! A NY Eve Bollywood bash, with a touch of Las Vegas. To perform Bollywood songs without using traditional Indian instruments, as a small combo giving Bollywood songs a Jazz Easy listening feel. A challenge that was taken up.! The appropriate musicians were selected to do this with just under 10 days prior to the gig and it turned out to be a success. The band also played Western Jazz Standards and Contemporary Western Pop with an easy listening approach. The band had to create the ambience while guests mingled and had a drink and to build up at the end, so that DJ Charlie (one of Auckland's Top Bollywood DJ's) took over the evening and brought in the New Year!
